Edit a post

If you need to make a correction or fix a typo in one of your posts, you can now edit your posts or replies within 30 days of posting.
 
  1. Locate the post or reply that you would like to edit in the Newsfeed.
  2. Click to the right of your post or reply.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Edit as needed.
  5. Click Save.
  1. Open the Nextdoor for iPhone app.
  2. Locate the post that you would like to edit in the Newsfeed.
  3. Tap  to the right of your post.
  4. Tap Edit Post.
  5. Edit as needed.
  6. Tap Done.

The option to edit a reply is not currently available on Nextdoor for iPhone.

  1. Open the Nextdoor for Android app.
  2. Locate the post that you would like to edit in the Newsfeed.
  3. Tap  to the right of your post or reply.
  4. Tap EDIT POST or EDIT REPLY.
  5. Edit as needed.
  6. Tap SEND or the green send icon.
 
What to expect when editing a post:
 
  • Posts can only be edited by the author of the message
  • It is not possible to see the previous version of an edited post.
  • Edited posts will have a note at the bottom indicating the edit date.
  • Editing a post will not result in new email notifications.
  • Editing a post will not bump the post up to the top of the newsfeed.
  • To change which neighborhoods can see your post, you will need to delete your post and then re-post it to the correct list of neighborhoods.
  • If you miss the 30-day edit window, you must delete your post and create a new post.
