Last Updated: Mar 20, 2017 04:36PM PDT
If you are having trouble logging into Nextdoor, or you see the error "Sorry, you are not allowed to view this" after logging in, it is likely that your browser is blocking cookies from Nextdoor.

Nextdoor uses cookies to ensure safe, private, secure access to your Nextdoor neighborhood.

To gain entry to Nextdoor, you'll need to enable cookies in your browser, or on your mobile device if you are using Nextdoor for iPhone or Nextdoor for Android. Here are links to help you to allow cookies on commonly used browsers:

Here's how to enable cookies on your mobile device:

On iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. From your Home screen, go to Settings > Safari.
  2. Depending on which version of iOS you're using, set "Block Cookies" to Always Allow or Never.

On Chrome for Android

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Go to Menu > Settings > Content settings.
  3. You'll find the menu icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Make sure Accept Cookies is checked.

On the Android web browser

  1. Open the Browser.
  2. Go to Menu > Settings > Privacy & security.
  3. Or, go to Menu > More > Settings and find "Privacy settings."
  4. Make sure Accept Cookies is checked or switched on.
If you are still receiving the error message after following the instructions above and you have an account for a second home on Nextdoor, you may be logged into the incorrect neighborhood for the posts you are trying to view. Try logging out of your current neighborhood and logging into the neighborhood of your second home.
