How can we help you?

Delete your account

Last Updated: Aug 28, 2017 02:18PM PDT

You can deactivate your account on Nextdoor at any time. Once you deactivate, you will no longer have access to your Nextdoor neighborhood. Your profile will be removed, but your past posts will remain visible in the Newsfeed.

Before you go, please take a look at these tools that address the most common reasons why members deactivate.

  • If you're uncomfortable showing your full address on your Nextdoor profile, you can hide your house number.
  • If you're receiving too much email from Nextdoor, please change your email settings.
  • If you've moved, please change your address and you'll be assigned to your new neighborhood.
  • If you've accidentally created more than one account, please follow the instructions below to remove the account created in error.

  1. Sign in to Nextdoor.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select ACCOUNT in the tabs along the top of the page.
  5. Click Deactivate your account near the bottom of the page.
  6. Click Select reason and choose your reason from the list that appears.
  7. OPTIONAL: Enter any feedback you may have about how we can improve Nextdoor. If you don't wish to share your feedback with your neighborhood Lead, uncheck the box.
