Moved? Change your address

If you've moved, you can update your address to use Nextdoor in your new neighborhood.

If a neighbor or previous homeowner has moved from your neighborhood, but still has an active account on Nextdoor, please report their account.
 
  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click the ACCOUNT tab.
  4. Click the blue Move to a new address link to the right of your name in the PROFILES section.
  5. Enter your new address.
  6. Click Change address.
  7. Follow the prompts to verify your new address.
  1. Open the Nextdoor for iPhone app.
  2. Tap in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select Settings toward the bottom of the list.
  4. Select Account.
  5. Tap your old address. You will be taken to a web mobile browser where you can complete the process. You may be asked to sign into your account.
  6. Enter your new address.
  7. Tap Change address.
  8. Follow the prompts to verify your new address.
  1. Open the Nextdoor for Android app.
  2. Tap in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select Settings toward the bottom of the list.
  4. Select Account.
  5. Tap your old addressYou will be taken to a web mobile browser where you can complete the process. You may be asked to sign into your account.
  6. Enter your new address.
  7. Tap Change address.
  8. Follow the prompts to verify your new address.
 

If you are moving within the same neighborhood:

  • You will need to verify your new address.
  • Your address will be updated and the neighborhood map will reflect your new address. 
 

If you're moving to a different neighborhood:

  • You will be added to the Nextdoor neighborhood that correlates to your new address.
  • You will need to verify your new address.
  • If you were a Lead or Founding Member, you will not have these statuses in your new neighborhood.
  • You will no longer be able to access your old Nextdoor neighborhood or your old neighbors. However, your old posts and comments will remain visible in your old neighborhood.
  • Your old neighbors will no longer be able to see your profile or contact you via Nextdoor.
 

If you're moving to an area that doesn't yet have Nextdoor:

  • You will be prompted to create a new Nextdoor neighborhood. This means you have the opportunity to define the neighborhood boundary and choose the neighborhood name.
  • You will be prompted to invite your new neighbors to join the neighborhood.
  • You will need to verify your new address.
  • You will no longer be able to access your old Nextdoor neighborhood or your old neighbors. However, your old posts and comments will remain visible in your old neighborhood.
  • Your old neighbors will no longer be able to see your profile or contact you via Nextdoor.
     
If you're moving to another country, you will need to join again in that country. Nextdoor is currently available in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United States.

If you are having trouble updating your address, you can contact support to update your address for you.

 

NOTE: Do not use the change address feature to hide your street number.
