How can we help you?

Join Nextdoor at your second home

Last Updated: Sep 22, 2017 12:18PM PDT

You can join Nextdoor in neighborhoods outside of your primary residence where you own:

  • a second home,
  • rental property, or
  • land where you're planning to build a home.

Right now, your email address can only be tied to one residential address on Nextdoor. To create an account in another neighborhood, you’ll need to join with an alternate email address when creating the account.

If you've moved your primary residence, follow our instructions on changing your address.

  1. If you haven't already, sign out of your current account.
  2. Visit nextdoor.com.
  3. Enter the requested information, using your alternate email address.

  2. Tap the white backwards arrow in the top left corner.
  3. Tap Create an account.
  4. Enter the requested information, using your alternate email address.

NOTE:

  • If you don't have multiple email addresses, as a workaround, you can check with your email provider to see if they offer an email alias feature
  • When moving between accounts, you’ll need to sign into the account you want to access, which may require signing out of your other account.
  • If you are having difficulty verifying your second address using our standard verification methods, you can still verify by sending us a copy of an official document (property deed, recent utility bill, rental agreement, etc.) that includes both your name and the address associated with your account.
